Tafseer Class Resumes
The Thursday evening tafseer class has resumed. This weekly event is conducted by Mufti Zeeyad Ravat, who is also the Head of Islamic Studies at the Islamic College of Brisbane. Insha Allah (God-willing) we will stream the class on MeemStream from 7:15pm on Thursday evenings.

Eid-ul-Adha Live Broadcast
Insha Allah, on Monday 7 November 2011, MeemStream will broadcast the Eid-ul-Adha salaah live from the Islamic College of Brisbane.
Listen from 6:30am as the Muslim community of Brisbane converges at the school grounds for the recitation of takbeer (praising the Greatness of God), the Eid salaah (Eid prayer) and the Eid Khutbah (Eid lecture).

Insha Allah (God-willing), MeemStream will be broadcasting LIVE from the stage of EidFest 2011 from Brisbane, Australia.
Eidfest is a festival where Muslims and Non-Muslims come together to celebrate the end of the fasting month of Ramadhaan. After a month of fasting, and praying and sacrificing the little things in life, it is the day that we can celebrate with our family, friends, community, and city. It’s a showcase of the variety of foods we eat, the clothes we wear and the different types of entertainment from our cultures. It is a melting pot of cultures that come together to celebrate the end of a wonderful month in the Muslim calendar.

Completion of Taraaweeh Khatam
Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), on Saturday 27 August 2011, the recitation of the whole Qur’aan in taraaweeh was completed at the Islamic College of Brisbane. Masha Allah (As God has willed), the huffaaz (those who have committed the Qur’aan to memory) recited beautifully and the tafseer delivered by the Imaams was inspirational. May Allah enable us to benefit from these efforts during this blessed month.
